Terms and conditions
These terms govern your use of grafer.app, a browser-based tool for computer-assisted composition made by Jonas Pettersson, Sweden. By creating an account you agree to them.
The service
grafer lets you build musical material as a graph of nodes, read it as notation, export it as MusicXML, and run rehearsals and performances from it. We work to keep it available and improving, but it is provided as is: it may change, have bugs, or be unavailable at times, and we may add, alter or remove features.
Your account
You need an account to save work. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account. You must be at least sixteen years old, or have a guardian's consent, to create one. One person per account; institutions can arrange multi-seat licences by contacting us.
Plans and payment
New accounts start with a free trial of Composer Pro. No payment details are needed for the trial. When the trial ends, the account continues on the free plan, which keeps composing, playback and export open with limits on saved projects, live performance seats and assistant prompts; the current limits are stated on the pricing page and under Plan in the app's settings. If you subscribe, you pay monthly in advance through Stripe, and you can cancel at any time through the billing page in your account; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Prices are shown on the pricing page and may change with notice; a change never affects a period you have already paid for. Statutory consumer rights in your country apply in full.
Your music
Everything you create with grafer is yours: the graphs, the scores, the exports and the performances. We claim no rights in your work. We store it to provide the service and we do not look at it except to help you when you ask, or where the law requires.
The examples
The Examples folder contains studies after works by other composers, built to show techniques. They are provided for study. The underlying works may be protected by copyright in your country; what you do with material derived from them is your responsibility.
Acceptable use
Do not use grafer to break the law, to attack the service or other users, or to resell access. We may suspend accounts that do.
Liability
grafer is a creative tool, and we cannot promise that an export opens perfectly in every other program or that a performance runs without a hitch. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as a missed deadline or a lost concert, arising from the use of the service. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending the agreement
You can ask us to delete your account at any time by email, and we do so within thirty days. We can end the agreement with a month's notice, or at once if you break these terms. When the agreement ends, your data is deleted as described in the privacy policy; export anything you want to keep first.
Law
Swedish law applies. Disputes are settled by Swedish courts, without prejudice to rights consumers have under the law of the country where they live.
